Didn't really need it, but a friend was selling his wife's 04 Honda CRV, as she needed something bigger for their 3 kids.

Part-time 4wd (no transfer case), small lift kit with new BFG KO2 all-terrains, new stereo, cold AC, auto trans, and 178k miles. Clean little rig with a good interior and no rust underneath.

Always kind of liked the idea of these little SUVs for general-purpose running around and the price was right. He drove it down the logging roads around my place in the past and it seemed to fling mud pretty well when off the pavement. Anybody have any experience with them?

Our daughter had one for a long time, about that same age. She flat wore it out. It's too bad they now make them like cars instead of anything remotely off-road worthy. Toyota did the same thing with the RAV4.

Dang that thing would be perfect for my wife to bomb around in. If you decide you don’t need it I’d appreciate a crack at buying it.

I have a 2006 which is the last of the good years like yours. After that they completely turned into station wagons.

Yours(and mine) have solid lifters so if your valves haven't been adjusted you should get them done.
Beyond normal maintenance I haven't really had to do much to mine.

If properly sliced and diced, a cow doesn't take up much space. Several would fit in there. That's just volume, though. Weight is another issue entirely.
