I was on there for business purposes but made the exit when their stance on things started to surface.

Not yet & no plans on signing up. Fuuuuuck Zuck.

My ex signed me up back in 2006. Still have the account but only use it for work purposes, along with an alter account. I only have a need to go on about once every 3 months, even just for work.

No facebook.

Nope. One of the best things everyone could do is quit and defund Zuckerberg. If you can quit the NFL you can quit faceplant. I know you can.

As an aging geezer, most of my old friends have died. The couple still living have my e-mail address.

i have an account because it is a good aggregator for multiple hobbies to read about while on the schitter. you can also get some nice stuff on the marketplace if you can avoid the scammers. that and posting pics that prove how much better i have it than other people. as soon as somebody posts more than once a week, they get unfollowed. but there is sure a lot of horschit on there. people, mostly women, are really dipschits with their comments. i can always tell when my buddies old lady is hitting the bottle because she is on there arguing with everyone. its funny as hell. i tell her husband about it and he just shakes his head. he is computer illiterate.

Not my thing. My wife used to have an account and it was sad to see some of the people on there clamoring for attention and validation via every pic, post etc.. I truly believe that if we could reset to about 20 yrs ago when cellphones were for talking on and social media wasn’t a thing we’d be a much better society.

Joined to get updates on a nearby forest fire a few years ago...apparently they monitor other things you have said on line on other sites. I made some rather intemperate remarks about AG Eric Holder and I am 86'd for life. I am devastated...oh dear, what shall I do?

I joined for a specific reason 7-8 years ago[not for posting or finding anyone but for communication with my son when he moved to a non-cell coverage area but had wifi so we could message, per his request].

I would walk from it if we didn't have our vacation rentals as a page on there.
FB tries like hell to get us to spend money with them to 'boost' our page, I won't give them a nickel and only use the free exposure.
We have a bout 500 people that follow that page and do quite a bit of business from it[only advertising we do].
I don't go there for social sheet anymore, it's just the same ol-same ol'

I was a long-time holdout but it serves a need for me in a way nothing out there does. I don't like Zuckerberg but at times, certain protests amount to cutting off my nose to spite my face. This is one of those.
