Someone recently gave me some .243 Win. brass that is head stamped "LC Match 63". Just curious if the government ever made .243 ammunition or if this is reformed .308 brass. The reason I am asking is that the brass has not been resized (still has the fired primer in the case) and a bullet cannot be inserted into the mouth. I assume that means the brass was reformed from .308 and not neck turned. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks very much. Looks like some time in my future doing some neck turning, or just disposing of the brass. I have plenty of 243 head stamped brass on hand anyway. At least it didn't cost me anything.
