Produced somewhere between 1894-1910. Locks up well, I would not be scared to shoot it.

Latest blue book of gun values list it at $1,900 at 95% and $900 for 70%. There are options or features listed that should increase value. Such as “ordinance” barrels, small frame. Cool old guns! Definitely worth doing some research on.

The Blue Book is worthless. Completed listings on Gunbroker are a lot more realistic. I just sold one of those, with Damascus barrels, for $400, although it wasn't quite as nice as yours. I would guess $500 topend for yours. One thing that hurts the value is that those guns have 2 5/8 inch chambers, and NOT 2 3/4 inch like more modern guns. Modern 2 3/4 inch plastic hulled shells will fire in them, but are recommended to be used sparingly, and nothing with high pressure.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, I would just have a hard time not buying any complete, functioning gun that’s 120 years old for 4-500 bucks. The Gunbroker prices I’ve seen don’t reflect that, but if I was an expert I wouldn’t have asked. It’s too hard to nail down the exact model specifics and condition for me. Thanks

Couldn’t you use 2 1/2 inch shells
