T/C Hawkens are neat,my buddy who is into original guns says historically they don't resemble any original type. What do you mean? They look *just* like original CVA Hawkens! Anyway, I like those Thompson's a little better than the CVA - they were made for TC Maxiballs! The TC Hawkins were MUCH better! My .54 cal TC will put 3 round balls touching each other on the target at 100 yards with real black powder.

Wait till he finds 20 Large in silver certificates under a stair step. An old Black man who lived in a little cabin on a small piece of property died years ago.......and local gossip had it that he buried what little money he had in the woods behind his house. The rumor took hold, because another Black man in the community confessed to me that he had spent time over there with a metal detector looking, and then was told the story was just a hoax. Anyway, to make a long story short, the place was sold to the Mennonites, and I told them about the supposed buried treasure. They took a backhoe and dug up half the woods looking for it. I have a friend that inherited a farm from an old Gentleman that he had helped over the years. He found a Stutz Bearcat, in great condition, in a garage on the property. You never know what might turn up when you aren’t looking for anything...

That might me a Carcano bayonet. I seem to remember the Arisaka type 99 bayonet had a curved quillion. But it sure looks like a last ditch 99 bayonet Do you recognize the marking, it's an M with the arrow through it. LinkType 30 Arisaka Bayonet.

If the tc is a kit gun it should have a serial number on the barrel with a K prefix.
Nice gold you found!!!!

This would have been better if the farm was on Oak Island.

This would have been better if the farm was on Oak Island. Kingston never would have found anything of value. Now he has at least three good firearms and he hasn't had to spend millions of dollars digging up the place to find nothing but sea water. Can't wait to see what else was under cover in that work bench...

Mr.Henry lived up the road from us when I was a kid.He used to quail hunt our pastures and hay field and carried a beautiful high grade .20ga Winchester 23.I remember he kept it in a small closet in his garage.I can only guess what happened to it after his passing.Another time my dad was helping an elderly widow clean out her husbands garage and found a collection of about 50 rifles, shotguns, and pistols. My dad asked to buy them, but was told her nephew had been promised a few.Crackhead nephew showed up the next day and hauled the whole collection to the nearest pawnshop.

Thompson Centers Muzzleloaders are everywhere in Pennsylvania, mostly flintlocks. Flintlock season starts day after Christmas. Percussions are not legal during this season but can be used in an earlier season.
I sold on just like that one because I don't like set triggers but it was a flintlock. lots of fun to hunt with flintlocks.

Check the headspace on that National Ordinance 03A3. I had one and the head space was way off and I had to get the chamber reamed out a few thousandths before I could shoot it. A round would go into the chamber, but the bolt wouldn't close. I think they were made up out of various parts at National Ordinance and they don't always go together perfectly. Great find though! I'd love to stumble onto a treasure like that!

I found a squirt gun in a ditch once My buddy donated 2 Smith 629’s on consecutive trips to the Alaskan tundra. By the time he bought his third he listened to me and ditched the uncle Mike’s crap. I told him from the get go that they were junk and that he should buy good leather. He was destined to prove me wrong. After his first ‘donation’ I LMFAO and would rub it in every chance I had. He dug his heels in and replaced the pistol and stuck it in the same POS holster. Months later he got sufficiently drunk to confess the loss of his second revolver which made me cry I was laughing so hard.
