Got some whiskey for the holidays (as a gift).

When did Jack Daniel's change the shape of the bottle?

They used to be curvy in the middle and now they are square without the corrugations..

Time for a wild and outlandish campfire claim:

I have probably the oldest jack daniels bottle. I will go silent if my claims are challenged and refuse to post pics.

Are you by chance one of the privileged few that have been deeded property in Lynchburg as a result of patronizing the jack daniels empire?

When did Lem Motlow sell? I know it was before I was born. I also don't remember when they dropped it from 90 proof

I do not remember the exact date J.D. was sold to one of the huge booze corporations, but I was in college and I believe the sale was made in 1956/57. (??) I remember it was hard for a time to find J.D. on alcohol stores' shelves, but I do remember that when it was later possible to again start buying "Jack," it never tasted as good as the original, before the company was sold.

Of course, that was a long time ago and I later became a Scotch man. Don't know what J.D. tastes like today.

My grandads grandad hunted pheasants with John Daniels. After he became famous he went by "Jack" for marketing purposes.

That's what they want you to think. John is what's on his birth certificate.....

Birth certificate isn’t even available. Read his biography. He doesn’t even truly know his real birthday because fire destroyed Lynchburg courthouse and his mother died not long after birth.
