Pump 270 is very nice condition. I have the opportunity to purchase one and had never seen one till now. So I assume they are fairly rare. Not hardly any history on gunbroker. Thanks

Not terribly rare, except in 6mm. Built as high end Model 760 during transition to 7600 from 1981-87. Condition is everything, but they bring a premium over and above 760 and even over later 7600.

Mint...1000.00 to 1200. 6mm to 1400.

Good condition, 900.00 to 1000.00.

I wouldn’t say “rare” but they are not as common as the 760 or 7600. It the a “high grade” 7600 with prettier wood and the base of the cartridge on the front of the frame. I have NOT checked GB so this is a guess at $600-650 or so.

I wouldn’t touch it for $900 and gun broker isn’t a reasonable place to look for them at this time. For $800 it would have to be the nicest .270, unfired, with box and hang tags I’ve ever seen.

$600 I’d think about it strongly.

I can buy nice 760’s at about 4 different shops around here right now for $480-525.

I've had a couple model 6's over the years, and while a nice rifle, I wouldn't be paying in the 800.00 range for one. I'd pay a premium over a 760,but not that much.

There were less than 40,000 made and half of them were in 30-06. With what they bring on auctions now $800 is a decent price.

I would forget Gun broker and hit the pawn shops .
Should be able to find one for $500.00 or less out the door.
Wave that cash in front of their face now that deer seaon is over and you will find a lot of good buys.

The past few weeks the prices on gun broker, for anything not too common, have gotten outrageous. I have a 7600 in 257 Roberts that I paid $400 for years ago, I just watched an auction close on one for over $2k.

From The Remington Society on Model Six production numbers: . A total of 36,236 Model Six rifles, including three engraved rifles, were produced. Percentage sales by caliber were: .30-06 Sprg. – 50%; .270 Win. – 29%; .243 Win.- 10% ; .308 Win. – 8%; and 6 mm Rem. – 3%.

There are roughly 10,000 270s out there. I would grab it if I wanted it. I looked for a 270 but got an 06 when I finally found one.

Good luck finding a Model 6 in a pawn shop.

I have always wanted one but never even seen one in person.
