Heretofore, I just used a rolled up a vest, shirt or coat for pillow, but lately it has been uncomfortable. Recently, I observed a couple of hunters using inflatable pillows, but one became useless due to a puncture from something he had in his pack.
Looking for recommendations.

I have a Sea to Summit that I really like. As with anything inflatable it could get punctured. With reasonable care I don’t see that happening to this one.

I have a sea to summit down pillow. It’s alright, packs down small and super light. I generally stuff my clothes under the head of my sleeping pad for a little extra support.

I have a couple similar to the Sea to Summit inflatable, but I think I paid less than $15 for them. They pack down to the size of half a a beer can but I just role them up with my pad. I'm a side sleeper so I'll stuff them in a sweater or sweatshirt for that added lift. If you carry some tenacious tape you shouldn't have to worry about popping it.
They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Sea to summit Aeros pillow is pretty comfy and durable. Worth the 2oz ! The Nemo pillow looks pretty good also.

REI has the Sea to Summit Aero on sale now so I can save 11 bucks. Brother-in-law will pick one up for me this week.

I just take my pillow from home. The added comfort is worth what little added weight comes with it

I still just use a rolled up item of clothing. Just a place where I am willing to sacrifice for a slightly lighter load and a little more space for something else.

REI makes lightweight camping pillows, about 1/4 the size of a regular pillow. I bring one when I have room in the pack and prefer it to inflatables or a stuff sack filled with clothes.

TETON Sports XL Camp Pillow from Sportsmans Whs. $10, 12 x 18". It might be a little more bulky than you like but it's very comfortable. PILLOW

If using for hunting I would suggest a small down pillow from Wal-Mart. If hiking, I love the Sea to Summit.

They’re a lot better... +1 The first time I used the sea to summit aero I slept amazing. Wont ever not take it on a trip now.

My Wise Owl backpack pillow is more comfortable than inflatables IMO and very affordable, worth a look

I looked at the sea to summit one this past weekend, $45. Thinking a stuff sack and my down puffy might be good option though. Biggest issue is the thing sliding around on the sleeping pad.

Make a stuff sack from and old sheet or pillow case. It won't be nearly as slick as nylon. The problem with using your coat is that then you don't have it handy for the 3am pee.
