I'm glad I'm not alone feeling that way. I usually use my EDC for slicing steak, chicken, etc. on the rare occasion when I go out. I despise serrated steak knives.

My wife worked for Kershaw for 13 1/2 years in Customer Service and had a great career with them. She had the opportunity to go to many trade shows over the years (Shot Show, etc.) and met many wonderful people in the sports industry. One guy in particular is Gunny, a true Gentleman. One year, there was still a very sizeable line of folks that were wanting his autograph. Gunny said "[bleep] it, and stayed for hours, missing his flight, and did not regret it at all. Pure Class!

We have four of the Shun knives, and they are worth every cent we paid. They come with a nice black lacquered hinged box, as well as a leather "holster". The are elegant and classy, sharp as hell, and when others see them, are very impressed.

Something with nice appearance should work.
That one you posted looks nice.
Just get it .
Cause if ya dont . It will bug you and you will get it eventually.

Rather than going all super tackleberry like others profess they do.

TRH,s one looks pretty good, handle is kinda long for blade length.
But that is too my eye.
Everyone looks at things different appeal and utilization wise.

How are you doing adapting overall after your accident?

i cook a steak better than most steak house`s so i never order beef steaks anymore at a restaurant or dining place unless i know the place has good meat. yes a decent folding steak knife that`s sharp i do always carry ,plus if its prime rib i bring my own plastic bag of fresh white horseradish too.

I don’t specifically, but if the steak knife provided sux I won’t hesitate to pull out my hen n rooster mini trapper to take care of business. If their knife works adequate I would rather put it’s edge to a dinner plate than mine.

Didn't notice if they had a steak knife!

Sounds like some sort of tantric DOM live organ transport.

I keep a Boker knife and fork set in my cars and pickup, usually for "All Day Singings and Dinner on the Ground" occasions at church. However, I have been know to retrieve them when needed at a restaurant, and more often than not, a manager will come over, apologize for the quality of the meat and give us some kind of discount.

On a side note, I always take my own 2 piece custom made chop sticks to Asian restaurants. So far none of them have ever offered a discount though. Talk about tight wads!

I'm doing well, thanks for asking, adapting pretty good. I've been able to do a lot more in my condition than a lot of my friends expected. I was able to snowblow and clean up after this three feet of snow, I just replaced the garage door spring that decided to break free. And I am planning on going back to work next month

Those custom chop sticks should give you an edga if a brawl breaks out at the all you can eat crab bar.
