I got a card when I got my hep B series. Nobody has ever asked to see it. We had to show the kids vax records when we registered them for school. Damn Nazis.

Papers allowing travel began almost a year ago I flew from Bismarck to DFW yesterday. No papers or real ID required there. I asked about having to provide my passport, the fat, furry dwarf said just at international airports. Or I believe that’s what he said.

Every shot you get is on your medical records...in fact every Doctor visit is their also. All electronically transcribed and stored. Same with this shot.
The current vaccine requires 2 separate shots. The card is you personal record of your current status.
The paranoia runs deep here.
