CZ. Mine is a very good rifle, esp. for the price.

I’m in the process of doing the same thing (converting to left hand due to eye troubles). I’m just shooting the 10/22 off the port side, works well enough the starlings are ticked...

The Tikka T1X is available for order in my neck of the woods ... LGS has something like eight that are spoken for already!
And, if they're available where you are, the Lithgow Arms LA101 is very nice, although it has an annoying feature of allowing the bolt handle to be 'closed' before the bolt is fully all the way forwards.

Yeah Dutch, I finally decided to give it a go. Friend of mine suggested getting the ole 22 and put time behind it a while back. I hope it goes well for you.

Browning is straight pull bolt. Not same manual of arms as most bolt action. It does have the best magazines by far. You spend lots of time loading 22lr mags.
Savage has a new 22 in the B series. It's got to be better than the old Mark II stamped up sheet metal junk. But then again it is a Savage.
If you switched to levers or autos you would not be stuck with LH guns. An 10/22 paired with a Benelli R1 for instance. Or Marlin 60 and Browning BAR. Lever 22lr choices depend on accuracy requirements. Henrys are great but the chamber is cut big for smooth cycling. They're good enough for most practical tasks. Winchesters are better but $$$ on the used market.

If you switched to levers or autos you would not be stuck with LH guns. Savage makes a left hand semi auto. I bought one about 4 hours when they first came out. Savage 64, and now its made as a take down.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
