I have this really nice McMillan stock that's been laying around for a while. I am tempted to do something with it. Buy a Vanguard in 257 WBY or 240 WBY? Will they fit this stock? Howa or Vanguard in 25-06? I really don't need anything more heavy hitting than that. I have a 6.5 PRC that will handle the biggest critters I'd ever want to hunt. It being LA is limiting my choices. https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/12247376

Should fit any of the LA Howa or Vanguards. We have used that same stock on a 257 Wby and 6.5-300 Wby and they’re pretty darned nice. I use the same profile on my Tikkas.

Sell it and buy components for the PRC.
A fast-twist 6-06 on a Howa LA would be pretty sweet...

The 6.5 PRC is as much oomph as I will ever need. I don't guess Howa or Weatherby offer anything in long action below that power threshold other than a 25-06, 240 or 257 WBY. I also already have a 257 Roberts and a 6 Creed, so I guess anything would essentially be duplicating anything I already have. I really ought to just make someone a great deal on the stock.
