I need to find the article, but right behind this low was a Mongolian High that was recorded as the highest pressure system ever recorded a few days ago.

Aware that 20' seas are measured from the mean (ie" 20' up, 20' down from 0 = 40' waves)--- Ive been in a Boston Whaler 22' in 12' seas (24' waves), and I'd never want to be there again.

Wave heights issued by NOAA and the National Buoy Data Center are measured from trough to crest. Not that it makes any difference, but it is rather unsettling to look up from a wheelhouse 20 feet above the plimsoll at a roller coming at you another 20 feet over your head. Or at least it bothers me.
