Your seating die was screwed down too far. Unscrew it a couple turns then drop the seating stem until you achieve the OAL you want

Your seating die was screwed down too far. Unscrew it a couple turns then drop the seating stem until you achieve the OAL you want What's probably happening is that the case mouth is getting crimped before the ram has gone all the way up, so the neck and bullet cannot go up into the die any further resulting in shoulder collapse. Huntinut's suggestion is the way to correct that. In fact, if it were me I wouldn't want the die applying ANY crimp at all on the case neck. Crimping is just not necessary most often.

I’ve never purposely crimped anything in my life....don’t reload anything that requires it. Been loading for this 243 with these dies for a while without any issue.......wonder if my 4 year old got a hold of it and started spinning !
Still doesn’t explain why this happened to only 2 / 12? I get the dies out and look into this further tomorrow

The 2 cases were probably longer than the other, thus applying more crimp. To adjust the seating due body, I usually place a case of the correct length in the shell holder and raise the ram. Then thread the seating die in until it just stops (now touching the case mouth). Then back the die out 1 full turn and set the lock ring.

2 of 12 makes me think about trimming them all to the same length.

The only brass I trim is 223 brass, I think your die isn’t adjusted properly. If I was going to crimp, I would use lee crimp dies.
