They've been kinda rare or hit and miss over the years. Guessing the PRS and instant Chris Kyle genre has sucked up any short action for a build? I really didn't wanna pony up the $1000 for a dick around 6 Creed build. Pacific Tool doesn't seem to have any laying around and I've heard some pretty nasty stories about PTG even if they did. Brownells is a No. Google for the first 4 pages was a No. Any clue where to find a SA/LH R700 in standard bolt face?
Please God, give me some good tags this year....

I have been checking sporadically over the last few months and have not seen any. I think with the Remington bankruptcy people scooped up what was out there and nothing new is being produced.

Had a guy ask if I had seen one about 10 days ago. I spent about an hour online and found a shop that had them in stock for $469. Can't remember where it was and too busy to look again. But doing searches on the remington part number and including "in stock" in the search field seemed to help. Good luck.
Based on no lug and no rail, and most guys swapping trigger anyway, a Deviant Tenacity for $885 with lug and rail seems quite reasonable.

I picked up a new stainless SA lefty Rem 700 action about a year ago for $333 on Gunbrokers. Sometimes it takes some digging to find them.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

The SPS complete rifle may be an option for you.

In the end its more economical to go with an premium action that jas the surfaces flat and everything engaged from the get go. Unless you aleady have it or get one cheap putting money into a M700 action is kinda like putting funds into a vehicle yoi buy that has 200k miles on it.

I've bought 6 of those actions, 5 shorts and 1 long action. The first one I sent to Eddie F to do his magic on and he told me that nothing was needed as far as squaring the face or the lugs. 1 other one went to Shaen and he came back with the same response, but did recommend the bolt handle be timed. Big whoop. All the others I just had barrels screwed on. Every one shoots lights out. I'll save the $500 plus on the custom actions and just go with the Remington.

There's been a gentleman trying to sell a M700 SA LH for quite some time on CGN (CanadianGunNutz). $750 CDN and price keeps dropping...

4 months ago I bought one on Buds for $351. I should have bought 10. I bought a SS long action and stuck it in the safe for a future build and may do the same with a LA Mag this month. I think we're done seeing any new LH 700 actions for a long time.
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

Check out the Bighorm origins, or defiance tenacity. Several others.
They are hitting the $850 mark for a ready to go action.
Original comes with a lug and rail.
I had a lefty 6.5prc built on one.
