I'm thinking about buying new wood for my Stevens 22-410, how compatible is the Savage 24 series rifle to the Stevens?
The buttt stock is very rough and the forarm is tenite, not a great mix. Any problems involved with a replacement set?

Not sure about the 24, but I replaced the tenite stock and forearm on my 22-410 with the wood from an old Stevens/Savage 20 ga. single shot I had. Not sure what model it was, but the stock bolted right on. I had to swap the forearm hardware from the tenite to the wood and then it fit just fine. The wood forearm is a bit wider though.

Try gunstocks inc. I got a set from them and you have to do the finish work and maybe a little cutting but turns out good.
