The 260 Remington is an excellent cartridge - flat shooting and hard hitting. I have two Steyrs in that chambering. They are my "go-to" rifles for whitetail.

Dumbest thing I ever did was sell my Remington 700 LSS mountain rifle in .260 that I bought new. Got it as the display model at gander mountain on clearance because this was when nobody knew what the 260 was.

Dumb. Great rifles. Great caliber.

This is why I include a preferred method of payment in the description of an item I'm selling......

Rifle fits like a glove as I thought it would, very nice guy to deal with. May need to turn the wood into carbon fiber though. Hate the thought of putting marks on it.

Got that rifle awfully quick. Sure you guys didn’t put together a back door deal? I claimed seconds pretty quick.

I don't remember when they first came out but my wife bought me one in .280 for Christmas. I still have it all these year later and it is still a dream.

I wouldn’t have mentioned a thing, but a couple things were odd. I posted seconds within 10-15 minutes I guess. A lot of PM’s could have been sent in that time, I know. But when the original buyer backed out I sent a PM to the OP, he read the PM but didn’t respond until hours later. I think that would have been a good time to let me know I was beat via PM. FTF deals are tempting for everyone to cut cost and other things...

It’s all good tho, hope the buyer enjoys the rifle, it looked like a clean one.
