A friend of mine is holding this estate gun auction. I've seen several of these guns myself, it looks like a pretty amazing collection! Thought I would share it on this sub-forum as well as the classifieds to help him out. https://www.youngerauction.com/gun.html

Not sure what's wrong. I clicked on it and it worked. Look up Younger Auction in Maryville, Missouri. They will have online bidding. Over 100 M1 Garands still in the shipped box from CMP with letter.

Lol, that's called collecting! Most of the certificates of authenticity were dated in the early 90's that I seen.

Dream on, Gnoahhh is going to swoop in there, skim the cream leaving us with an H&R single shot with a Bushnell Sportview.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

How did THAT happen?? Maybe sorta like Democrqt voting,,? Does Dominion have anything to do with the CMP process...? That does sound like a nice collection. DF

I did ask Mark Younger himself and he said that he included a picture of the certificate on the rifles that had one. I don't have a specific number, sorry about that.

It was still DCM back then. There was a time period where you could buy up to 12 in one year. Some guys really took advantage of that. As I recall it was just before the Obama years and right after the Clintoon years. The Clintoons were sending everything they could to Cpt. Crunch until Congress intervened. A lot of good rifles were saved and CMP decided it was better they were on the civilian market and not in a government ware house. Now it's one a year but Congress could stop the program at any given time and have the rest destroyed. I think all that is left are some back from the Philippines and what ever they can put together from parts. Now 100 people can have a chance at owning a Garand instead of them being scrap metal. kwg

That BM 59 would be a nice addition to any collection.
