I use a 225 grain Sierra or Partition with W748.. dozens of great combos but that one has worked great for me in the deer woods at around 2450 FPS.
I’d bet you’re going to get some good recipes coming up quick though.

Partitions have become expensive and hard to find. Sierras are cheaper, probably not as good an all around game bullet as the NPT. But they’ll kill WT’s. Reportedly they can come apart, but guess that’s not a real big deal at the skinning shed. Dead is dead.
Bigger critters, I’d go with the NPT.

For deer almost all the common bullets are going to work fine. Speer 180,220, Hornady 200 spire, 225 sierra, 225np 180ttsx. If it shoots well for you and you can find it, I would start with the 200 spire point. As long as you don't need to wring every last FPS from it there are a lot of good powders, if your looking for speed, try TAC

I had a blr and I still have a Hawkeye in 358 win. I mainly used 3 loads
200 Hornady + 47grs H4895 - 2455-2480fps
225 Sierra or Nosler Accubond + 47grs H4895 - 2428fps from the Hawkeye
220 Speer + 47.5grs imr3031 - 2437fps
The 200 Hornady load and the 220 Speer load are interchangeable from my Hawkeye as they hit right next to one another at 100yds.
When I die I hope I don't start voting democrat.

Thank you for all answers IMR 3031 gave me great velocities with all bullet weights and does not have a powder compression issue like 748 does. Up until lately it was easy to find too.

I am a Barnes fan so my pre-64 M70 sees the 200 gr TTSX.

Has there ever been a round that gets more praise in print and less use by those doing the praise in print? (That is not a slam at the round; I think that it is a good one.)

I have a 35 Whelen. One of my mentors had a 358. We both found 250 grain bullets work great. He killed a lot of deer and elk with his and 250 grain Speers.
Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.

The only place I have been successful with my .358 was in MN, but this is the first year I have not carried it in awhile mainly because I got a .338-06. But, I do like it for thick to moderately thick country where shots are usually less than 250 yards.

I guess I'll have to look but I thought 4064 then Varget were my go to powders. If they weren't optimal then tell all the whitetails I have killed with 200 gr bullets. I have Partitions but haven't loaded them yet. I still have both of the Remington bulk bullets loaded, the RN and PSPs. Be Well, RZ.

I have a .35 Whelen that likes 225gr. Sierra Game Kings and IMR 4064 and 200gr. Hornady Inter-lok RN with IMR 3031. These loads should work just as well in .358, well worth a try.

I am a Barnes fan so my pre-64 M70 sees the 200 gr TTSX. Same here Ed, I cant get any of the Western powders, so it's a bughole 2700 fps with RL-10 under 200gr TTSX's, hits like a sledgehammer, carries like a tack hammer.

I used the above 200 Hornady SP Interlock In my BLR and now on my custom 700.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

225 Serria GK's has performed admirably on W/T at speeds of 2468-2518 fps using IMR-4320. The 250 grain Speer at 2353 fps works superbly on elk. I have almost totally gone over to cast bullets now, the RCBS 35-200 FN and a custom mold that Mountain Molds did for me that weighs 225 grains. For puredee fun nothing beats the Lyman 358156 around 1600 fps.

Would any of it work with the Saeco Bullet Mold #352 35 Caliber 245 Grain Flat Nose Gas Check? Thanks in advance, Rex P.S. Maybe my imagination but it seems like you may have been posting more of your knowledge lately. That's very much appreciated.
