I bought a Burris 4X recently, used for $99. Finally shook apart the BSA I had on my 336 and the guy at the gunstore talked me into the Burris. Nothing appears wrong with it other than a scratch on one of the turret caps. Haven't had a chance to sight it in yet. I can't find anybody who still carries the 4X Fullfield, I am assuming it has been discontinued.
Did I get a good deal? From the prices it appears Burris is right below Leupold.
Any opinions about this scope and having it on a 30/30?

I end up with a Burris every once in a while. Aside from being heavier and to me, a bit more flare prone when shooting towards the sun, they are a solid scope.

I found a marked down 4.5x14 Fullfield II for 249.00 (new) the other day--it is a good scope for my 22/250 Akley.

It is kinda hard to mess up a 4X--I'd expect you scope to last quite a while.
