For sale: Here’s an older Benchmade knife.

Traded for this at a gun show several years ago.

Blade is stainless - 3 5/8”(3” cutting edge).
Overall knife length is 8 3/8”

Metallic Bali-Song emblem on each side of the handle. Knife locks up solid with absolutely no play in the blade once it’s locked.
Handle is polymer with checkered rubber inserts for secure grip.
Multiple scratches on blade from use...very sharp and holds a decent edge.
Made in USA!

$48 shipped.

Buyer backed out after several CF members informed him by PM that my knife was not authentic.

I apologize if that is true. I wouldn’t know as this was a knife that I picked up at a gun show years ago. I don’t know a lot about Benchmade other than they are a quality knife. This knife seems to be a quality fake I guess...???

Anyway, I’m going to take this off the market...my hard earned reputation over the years buying and selling here in the classifieds isn’t worth losing over $48, especially if the knife is a fake.

Thanks,

Leftybolt

How do people know that its not authentic? I'm not questioning them, I'm just generally curious.

One member apparently said the knife would have a model number etched on it somewhere. This one does not. I’m not a Benchmade connoisseur so I wouldn’t know.

It is stamped “Benchmade Knife Co.” on one side of the blade and “Made in USA” on the other.

If somebody here has some insight, that would be great....?

There are Benchmade knock-offs now?

Fake Spyderco's, Zero Tolerances, Benchmade, etc, etc.. the latest fake Spyderco Enduras and Delicas are almost impossible to tell from real ones. There's many YouTube videos about this.

is one just like it
I got a catalog screen shot from Jared at Benchmade I can forward to anyone that may want it.
He believes it to be an original as more of the current knives are being copied and less of the old ones
