I'm a retired Dental Surgeon. I've probably removed a few thousand of these guys over my career. The mandible (lower) wisdom teeth generally are tougher to remove due to heavier and denser bone. The easier that they come put for me, even if that means cutting bony windows and sectioning the teeth in multiple pieces. The less swelling and pain for the patient. Antibiotics and good pain relief along with ice packs, 20 minutes on, 10 off are still the only way to go. Evolutionary change will eliminate them in another 10-15 thousand years. FWIW

The next day the little lady landed a haymaker to the exact spot Where that tooth came from while recovering from have her large intestine stapled up from internal bleeding. She get like that at times. I was able to dodge her first swing. But she connected well with the second. It hurt worse that the pullin’.

Got mine while in middle teens. Still have all 4 of them, never any problems with any of them. Dentist once said I had room for more teeth . . . I asked if that meant I had small teeth or a big mouth . . . He just smiled.

Got all 4. Never have given me a bit of trouble, Dentist says they look good, no reason to pull them.

Had all four pulled long ago, all four were impacted and removed in pieces. Oral surgeon, novacaine, and all four removed in one appointment. prayers sent

Only had to have one taken it out a top one. And NO mrs slumlord didn’t do it. She wanted to, I was right there in her chair. lol I made the DDS do it, he was gonna let her pull it.  But all was good. Had it out quick with minimal effort.
