I remember seeing a quick release windage screw lever for the Redfield style mounts on a custom rifle some time ago. Did anyone know who might have made them of if there is a current source available? Thanks!

I've also seen them referred to as "Pilkington Levers".

They are long defunct from what I can gather.
If people can't shot a 20" gong or a deer at 100 yard with less than a 5-25X scope, they sure have no use for open sights

I couldn’t find the lever on Brownel’s site. Any links someone could share? I would also be interested to buy a used one if available. Thanks!

Pretty crude, but I built one some years back. Welded wing nut 'ears' on the Redfield screw, double checked where the screw was in tight, then rotated it 270 deg lefty loosey, marked it, ground it to clear the ring base so the base could be rotated away from the opposing screw to remove scope and ring assembly quickly with just 3/4 turn of the wing nut. For retaining zero, it worked as good as hokeyass Leupold QD's at 40 bucks a pop. But it didn't win any Better Homes and Guns awards for pretty either. I think a nice TIG weld would look pretty good. Which I didn't have.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Think I have one in my gun stuff I used one when I lived on Kodiak in the early 80,s. I'll have a look. Were quite common in the 70,s. Did not hold up to frequent removal. IMHO had several windage adjustable mounts fail on hard recoil rifles. http://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4711043/m/3161024211/xsl/print_topicI don't want to sell mine too many memories from using it on Kodiak and they were made in Enid OK where my family was from. Have all the literature where they claim they return to zero? They tended to gall. ![[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]](https://i.postimg.cc/52gJzYqR/Plink_1.jpg)
