I have a NIB set of Kimber rings that won't fit a standard base. Did they ever make rings for a Sako or what are these?

Kimber of Oregon. They fit flat top Model 89BGR Super Americas integral mount as well as bases made for the KoO 84s and 89 Classics. They will also fit Warne Premier bases (for multiple brands) produced for some years, from 1994 to whenever they changed to the Weaver standard in the latrr 90s... They are not meant for the KoO 82s with round top grooved receiver. Hand crafted in Clackamas Oregon by old ladies and Mexicans, circa 1982-1991. Brownell designed iirc. 0.460" dovetail. I think. Or maybe 11mm. I

Worth the sky's the limit. $125 to over $200

Funny, but, Talley may still make a compatible ring. I bought a pair in 2018 marketed for the KoO 89BGR. However these do not fit the Talley fixed base.

If you don't need them and don't go too crazy on the price I would be interested in them, if lows. But if you wanted to make a buck then put them on the auction sites, some collectors could get really excited about these.

I listed them in the classifieds. I don't want to give them away but I guess I wouldn't need top dollar for them either.

You could shine them up a bit! They look great, maybe. grin

I just saw Juan and Jose polishing them once in Clackamas, but, admired their freehand work, like the stockshop but different, no jigs, dusty, specialized... Thirty-three years ago and I remember their names. . . .

I am likely the first person to open this box in 20+ years. They have a little dust but I doubt they have ever been out of the box.

It appears there is limited demand for these.

I had a set on a Winchester 88 in 284 classy rings seen them way over $250 on E bay and others.

Mine had Levers for take off and forward raised portion on base neat set up. Very similar to Warne set up. Fit and finish was great. Image copied
