Ok this is just something that been on my mind for a scout rife idea

A copy of the old Winchester 95 in 308 or 30-06 that used the m1 granand clips to load. What say you all sound possible or off the wall crazy ?

To start, I'd suggest you take a look at how wide a Garand clip is compared to the width of an 1895 receiver and magazine.

The 95s in 7.62x54 used stripper clips I believe. Straight line like a Mauser stripper and not an en bloc but close to what you’re wanting.
