Anybody own one? From what I've read, they're more or less a clone of an 870 except they made the receiver slightly squared off in the back. I dug around on the internet until I found a pic of its trigger group and the trigger assembly seems to be well constructed. Also, the barrels are very thick.
All the reviews I've read about them seem to be fairly positive.

I'd take a look at a Browning BPS or a Mossberg 500 before I'd buy an H&R. A company known for building single shots. Are those H&R pumps imported?

If it is compatible with 870 parts and accessories it could be a fun shotgun to play with. I’d for sure try one before I pick up a Mossberg 500.
What is your plan with it? Do you hunt at all? or just a house gun?

But they sound fairly heavy duty,...machined steel receiver, etc. From what I understand, some 870 internals will interchange. Barrels won't.

Bought one in 20ga for youth girl. She manages to jam it. Run vigorously I have had no trouble other than it hits low. Have to smother the target and hope.
Would not buy again and certainly not for serious work. That's why they make Mossberg 500s.

The Pardner shotgun is really heavy and clunky. It lacks balance and would make a terrible field gun, but the weight may make it a decent home protection gun.

That video was hilarious. Reminds me of the time someone claimed revolvers are not reliable because you if someone grabs the cylinder very tightly the cylinder won't turn and the revolver won't fire. I guess if you're Barney Fife you should avoid the Mossberg 500, and every other firearm.

Yet, somehow, in the Corps we abused the hell outta Mossberg shotguns and they ran just fine. But we probably were more gentle with them......
