Those with beards, do you just wash and go? Or do you have a beard care routine? Any special products you use? Im on 3 months and never got itchy, but damn my beard was getting brittle and dry as hell once the temps went south and humidity dropped. I youtubed some stuff, ended up buying "beard butter" in a couple scents. Seems to work good as far as softening, but my opinion, doesnt last real long so I find myself putting it in 3 times/day. This is stuff I bought...

I might try it if they offered a no fragrance variety.
I can't do froofy scheidt, on me, my wife, around the house, etc.
And yes, after 40 + years without shaving mine off I notice it getting dry and brittle. Usually the shampoo I use on my hair keeps it in good shape though.

Im not big on fragrance either, but im kinda diggin these. Reason I bought these were the natural ingredients. Im a man so im not up on whats good for hair. But apparently Shea butter, coconut oil and crap like that is good for beards. At about 4 inches I started getting spit ends. Not sure if thats because its brittle or not. Just seeing what other guys are doing to keep it healthy. This is actually the first time growing it long.

I care for my beard by cutting it clear off every morning.

My wife won't let me shave mine off. Care? I shower every day and I take my head in the shower with me.

Great stuff there. for you folks that don't like to click on links after a certain person ruined that idea, here's the opening paragraphs Dear Bearded Hipsters,
YOU GUYS ARE RUINING MY BEARD FETISH. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved a man with a beard. To me, they meant strength, power, MANLINESS. Someone who could protect me. Unfortunately, you guys have turned it into a fashion statement. The beard has turned into the padded bra of masculinity. Sure it looks sexy, but whatcha got under there? There’s a whole generation running around looking like lumberjacks, and most of you can’t change a [bleep] tire.
Look, I get it. I really do. I understand the motivation behind your beardedness. In fact, I even pity you. Thousands of years of evolution priming you guys to kill stuff, and chase stuff, and [bleep] stuff….and now what? You’re stuck at a desk all day. No battles to fight. No wars to wage. So you assert your masculinity the only way you know how. You brew beer. You grow some hair on your face. I’ve seen you, hipsters, sitting in downtown eateries, with your rock chick girlfriends, dipping your truffle fries, trying not to get the aioli in your mustache. I’ve seen the quiet desperation in your eyes. I know you’re screaming into the void.

I wash it once a day like I wash whats left of my hair. Keep it short in the summer, long in the winter.

Beard wash a couple 2-3x a week.
Beard oil or balm after every shower.
Brush it out several times a day.
Ain't been trimmed in a few months and won't be trimmed for at least 2 more months!!
No split ends yet and only the white ones seem to be brittle, the red hairs are holding on just fine.
I use Monster beard care products.

Wash and go. I don’t need any chick cream or negro Afro gel. My Northern European ancestry has endowed me with enough hair to make a mountain gorilla jealous. 😁
I have gotten my hair cut every 5 weeks at a max for all my life and have always had short hair but this year is different. With the covid BS I got my hair cut once in the past year and that was back in June. My wife and children liked my hair longer so I decided I’m growing it until something changes my mind. My beard I usually keep trimmed but since I’m growing my hair I figured I’ll grow my beard out too. I’ve been shaving since I was 13 and it’s nice taking a break.
