Jim. Some days think you’re a brother from another mother... Some days i wonder 😂🤪😂 Hoop cheese. Those big red rind wheels of cheese. They’ll cut off a hunk. Fresh. Soft.

You’re a better man than me. I have my vices, not as many as I once had but good food is one of them.
I’m roasting a Prime New York roast right now. Medium rare after 30 minutes rest and gravy from the pan drippings and stock.

Hoop cheddar is 7.99 at the mennonite deli. It was last month. $4.99 + 10% today i think. Every once in awhile they’ll get the black rind sharp in. That’s the stuff.

That Pubix, store, that pretty popular around there? Closet around here is in Florida. I drove by 2 Pub Lix stores on the way to Pigly Wigly today. I love going to both on the same day. It's a great reality check. Low end pork products vs. Tillamook ice cream and Boars Head roast beef:

.99 is a regular sale price on Butts, usually about 2 or 3 times a year.
If not on sale. Wooo wee, they try to break it off with 2.49 lb.
I always have about 10-12 butts in shop freezer.
Get strange looks at the market when you pile 15 or so butts in a cart.

How do they market the leftover scrotums and testiculars? You’re thinking of potted meat. Gots too much salt for me. Have you seeing blurry after eating a can.

I hear you on that. I got a buddy that can put salt on his bacon, and it doesn't bother him a bit. He's in his mid 70's. Don't have a clue how he can get away with it, other than luck-of-the-draw when it comes to genes. My momma never was able to buy us any of that high falutin' potted meat stuff when we was kids. Always did git biscuits with a little mustard on 'em though.
