The big troop buildup in D.C. is all for show. The deep state wants to convince the public that Trump supporters are maniacs and that D.C. needs an army to protect itself from them.
It's all part of the plan portray Trump supporters as enemies of America and to demonize them.
It's a very basic propaganda technique,....been used a long time.
Once they convince enough people that Trump supporters are evil maniacs,.....well,...you figure out the rest. So turning DC into a FEMA camp is good optics for the Dems? You are going to have to flesh this out a bit cause right now it's crazy talk. Go. The deep state stole the election. They don't give a fug about "optics".

First, it’s from the AP, king of fake news. Second, the article stats out with a Major Lie, to support their fake news agenda. . following the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol by pro-Trump rioters. So, with that in mind, it’s clear that the whole article is fake news and left wing propaganda. So, the FBI isn't vetting the NG troops in DC? I would bet that at least half of the NG voted for Trump.
Remember why, specifically, the Bill of Rights was written...remember its purpose. It was written to limit the power of government over the individual.
