Have any of you punched live primers out of cases and reinstalled them in other cases? If so, what were the results?

I've punched out live primers on occasion using a die with a decapping pin. Just go slow and gentle.
I don't think I've ever reused any. But I don't see why you couldn't. They might be a loose fit after already being seated once. But I can't say for sure.

Yep many times, no problems, no change of POI, nothing.
I would have got him too but a Dad Blam snow flake hit me in da eye....

I've had to pop out and reinstall one primer once because I put it in backwards (had a large primer holder cup in my single stage press but was seating small primers and somehow the primer flipped during the priming sequence).

Do it all the time. Just make sure the anvil is still in place before re-seating.
7 1/2's seem to be the most prone to losing the anvils.

I've done it, getting them out is the issue. Go slow.. They work fine when reinserted.

I'm pretty sure you can only use a primer once.
If I'm wrong, I'd definitely be interested in buying reusable primers.

Clean cup 4. Use a punch to flatten the dent from the firing pin 5. Use a small hole punch to remove a little bump from a roll of your kid’s caps 6. Insert into the cup 7. Insert anvil 8. Seat primer in prepped case, load and shoot. You have now used a primer twice.

I asked same question here a few months ago.
Was told no problem.
I tried it with REM 7.5 primers.
Worked just fine.
