I do most of my trolling on www.landwatch.com.There is a 59+/- acre piece that is mostly timber located just north of Clarence, MO, that looks interesting to me. Mature hardwood, a year-round creek, in a travel corridor that follows ten-mile creek from timber lot to timber lot. The listing agent is Brad Fallert, 660-865-3053. When you find a property, I have found that it is always a good idea to contact the local conservation officer and ask him about the hunting in the area where the property is. I have found that most COs are happy to share their knowledge of their territories with people who are new to the area.

Clarence is in Macon County, IIRC (I grew up 40 miles west of there). Macon County was the home for the CWD that is raging thru the Missouri deer herds in the past few years, in part due to a high-fence hunting operation near Ethel.
You might want to REALLY research that before buying property there for deer hunting. The deer numbers have been down for the last 10 years or so, in part because of CWD and EHD. Macon County used to be in the top ten counties for deer harvesting in Missouri, but nothing stays the same forever. Even my Chariton County home area isn't what it was 15 years ago, numbers are way down, though coming back slowly.
You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.

Thanks for the heads up.
We've hunted quite a bit up near Cainsville but lost that grou d to an outfitter. 2019 we went over to Kingsville with a shady outfitter. Better off looking for ground.
Harrison, Mercer,Daviess and counties along the Iowa border are in our top choices.

This, but getting your own is well worth it. Just do your homework.

I also have noticed Whitetail properties carry a heavier price tag, and for what, the cool antler logo??

Yep, it is not easy, I have been looking for a retirement property in MO or AR with acreage and a decent house. Not easy to come by, and it is a sellers market.. Not sure if land is the same but would assume so. Hooking up with a local realtor is a good thing, they often know of properties before they hit the listings.
