This should be interesting. KY is sending a message to Mitch that I believe the entire GOP will be watching. I read on Newsmax that the KY GOP is considering censuring good ole Mitch. If they do, that will send a clear message to every republican in the Senate. Even without it, I wrote to Senator Blackburn of TN and she answered that she doubted 17 republicans would vote guilty and that some Dem's may also not vote guilty as well.

The best thing that could happen to the country would be to recognize the truth - Abortion and gun control have been settled by the Supreme Court. We should stop endlessly thrashing the same two issues over and over and get on with other pressing matters.

It only takes a majority after a conviction. Basically it is automatic.

Trump could threaten to campaign to get everyone of them primaried in upcoming elections if they side with the DEMs. Nearly 80 million followers were behind him, and I would venture to say a big majority of them are still on his side regardless of what the politicians or media say about his involvement in the capital riot...We all heard him say to peacefully protest that day...If he started his own social media platform he could possibly gain more followers and have a massive amount of reach and power...The idiots need to pay attention, he could truly hose a lot of them in future elections...I guess that's why they are all so scared of him in the first place..If I was a Republican Senator, I'd much rather have him out there ripping away negatively at everything the DEMs are doing than pissing him off and turning him against me...

I still have hope that at least some of the State Legislatures and Governors will fix that. I know at least Arizona's state legislators are looking into it already...

My prediction is that five Republican senators will vote to convict. That means acquittal.

Acquittal will help the Trump brand.

BTW: The five will be senators whose next election is not until at least 2024.

Its never going to happen. The establishment will crush any primary challenger to the status quo and offer the same lesser of two evils option. Republicans will vote to impeach, they don't want Trump the head of a third party ticket.
