Larry, can you give us the particulars on the fabulous fork you shot? Did you dial? How far was the epic shot? How many hard-hunting days did it take to find such a specimen? What rifle did you use?

Don't skimp on the details, we're all hanging on every word.....

Plenty of ring spacing with sportsmatch rings. Included recoil pin doesn’t suck.

6.5 creedmoor ejects fine. 243 should be the same. Get an LRI bolt with the m16 extractor if ur concerned wink

As a whole Just a touch high for my use with factory stock but it’s nice not stacking tolerances with rail/rings and Talley’s don’t inspire condidence. That extruded aluminum is damn thin in places.

thanks ndbowhunter for the comment. Sports match rings seem very simple in a good way. I guess the question is whether the optimum ring spacing provided by a rail the top priority, or if the most important thing is to utilize the dovetail built into the receiver.

Sounds like either option would probably be better than Dual Dovetails or other mounting systems.

at a quick glance a pic rail and a sportsmatch tikka with swfa 6x and 3-9.

For my setups a pic rail doesn’t add any spacing over sportsmatch rings.

That make sense?

I’d run all sportsmatch but taking the factory supplied rail on ctr, varmint rigs is such a pain I just leave em and run rings.
