No, it has not been debunked. The thought that you can remove someone from office that they do not hold defies common sense.
Yes, any official can resign, including Nixon, to avoid impeachment, and it makes perfect sense because that's the purpose of the process. Nixon was pardoned for any criminal charges brought against him, but he was not impeached. If he hadn't resigned, he would have been. But as stated many times, an impeachment is not a criminal trial. The only purpose is to remove an individual from office.
How does anybody buy this schidt from Schumer, Piglosi, Nadler, Schiff, etc.?

Dion, the whole purpose of the "after the fact" impeachment (and I understand it is legal) is to prevent Trump from ever running for the Presidency again. We need to raise Cain with all our legislators - to see that doesn't happen. Pretty much a lost cause, here in NM. But, we can make ourselves heard, for what it's worth.
