I shot it some when I bought it a few years ago, but not much lately. With the ammo shortage (and skyrocketing prices for ammo), I have been opting for rimfire and black powder much more than usual lately. This one, being an older model, came equipped with the (now out of fashion) quad rail handguards. The new ones are coming with M-Loc handguards.
I shot a couple hundred rounds of Remington Thunderbolt with zero malfunctions or ammo failures. I'm getting more and more impressed with Thunderbolt, and have 9,000 rounds of it left (I purchased a case of it in late 2019), far more than the 50 rounds that the Democrats think I should be restricted to.
Here's a three shot group from the bench at 25 yards, open sights. The repaired holes are from having shot a rapid fire string from standing offhand.
its my funnest gun. i put a leupold scout scope on it and it is slickern schit. waaaay, too easy to blow a brick though. mine has shot everything, fed, turds, win, etc and i don't remember any malfuns. i like to slow walk back through my christmas tree farm and catch a groundhog running. they rarely make it to their hole with a hail of bullets whizzing at them.
I bought one a while back. My son and I can ring am 8” steel plate offhand at 100 yards almost every time we try with it. This is with cheap Federal bulk ammo and factory sights. I feel they are quite a good value.

On Christmas Eve, I was in a gun store, and a man was buying one (with the newer M-Loc handguards) for his son (looked to be about 10) as his first rifle. I guess it was going under the tree. Lucky kid. Beats the heck out of a Red Ryder.
I had one years ago that was sent back for some warranty work over firing out of battery. I still have some mags and would like to pick up another one to run suppressed

Suppressed and a full rock switch would be awesome!

The barrels all come threaded, an evil feature soon to be outlawed by the Dems, no doubt.

I shot an m 16 about 10 years ago that had the 22 conversion on full auto. Went through 4 bricks of ammo in about 30 minutes with it. What a hoot that was, It was also suppressed.
