I'm absolutely certain it will become increasingly difficult to find people who want to take them as badly as other people want to keep them. Nonsense. They will follow orders, period. And the cops who choose SWAT tend to be those who are at least somewhat addicted to the adrenaline rush associated with armed home raids. One word. Cawps.

There were some attempts to introduce a gun tax on municipal level in German e. g. Bremen and Iserlohn but it failed due to legal reasons.

Just go through what Hollywood puts out. Huge percentage is crime or violence themed. Very little imagination out of Hollywood.

There are going to be a lot of dead gun confiscators if that passes, and some decide to try to enforce it. You really think so? They will show up 20-1, 2 am., door buster, black ski-masks, body armor, flash-bangs, tear gas, full-auto weapons. If you get a shot off, 2 at most (doubtful) , aim for the head. Or the CNN crew. If that works for more than a day or two, people are not being creative. I suppose you plan to leave your guns on the porch? To save the door? Glad the patriots in the 1770s didn't cop your attitude.

This whole charade highlights a severe misunderstanding of the entire Bill of Rights. The First 10 Amendments were not written with a theme of “the people get to this, and this, and that.” Rather, they were written to list the main actions the government (and many times specifically congress) were NOT ALLOWED to do. Those framers were so very self aware. Knowing many of them would be members of said Congress and that unchecked power tends to run away, the placed limits on themselves before they ever entered the halls.
And I’m not splitting hairs as to wording. There is a HUGE difference between “the people can have guns,” and “government cannot infringe on the people’s natural right to own guns.”
Sadly there many in our nation who view the Bill of Rights in the reverse of their purpose.
