Pros - Cons? Who has best fees, and most user friendly for making own investments and trades.
Interested in combo of Mutual Funds/ETF/Index Funds as well as some stock trades.
What say you? Thanks in advance.

I like fidelity. Low fees, easy to use and decent CS. I trade weekly on platform, have a few mutual funds. . Easy to move money in and out of accounts.
They all have decent reputations.

I'm a Fidelity fan. Besides being cheap to trade they also have long term stuff like HSA's that Vanguard doesn't have. Or at least they didn't have when I was there.

I chose Fidelity cause there is a Fidelity office about 40 miles away. I have not seen a Vanguard office and dont think they exist. It is great to go there and get advise and have them set up the accounts for you . This was back in the days I didnt know how to do anything though. The fees are very low. They even have a total stock market mutual fund that has 0% expense ratio. ( FZROX) . If you invest in their sector ETF's , it is no load and the expense ratio is .084%. In other words, a $100K investment will cost you $84 a year . It does not cost anything to buy a stock . SOme mutual funds charge a load fee , like some Franklin Templeton funds.
But the fruits of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no law. Galations 5: 22&23

I've used both Fidelity and Vanguard. I have nothing against Vanguard but like ihookem said, sometimes it's nice to have an office nearly to go to.

I like fidelity over Vanguard and preferred TRP over both.

Wife uses/likes Fidelity. Vanguard has been very good with corp pension management. Best for me has been TIAA-CREF.

Good info folks, welcome others.
GME is interesting, but I worry the SEC, etc. may try sensoring or cancelling things i.e. WallStreetBets and Robinhood..........
Free Market, Free Country, Free Speech? Yes or no? Enough attacks have been made on our freedoms.
All investing has risks, but WS is ticked at the market changing how people invest...ie commissions, etc.

I'd like to use an app to do some ETF investing - was thinking Schwabe.
The Robinhoods and Acorn etc - what happens if those guys just up and disappear? Where's my money.
While Schwabe could pull a Lehman Brothers - I don't think that's as likely as some app without the history/backing of a brokerage house.
Or am I thinking of that wrong?

E-trade was bought by Morgan Stanley. If you don't need individual securities. I would say Vanguard is good. But I think there are a lot of firms that will get singled out for good or ill, in the coming years....

I’m pretty happy with Fidelity. I can’t speak to the other two, but I would expect they are good companies as well.

I enjoy fidelity, but there are restrictions to which stocks they let me trade.
My wife is getting pretty handy at finding weird stuff.
