I went to the Scheels in the Eden Prairie mall.
Holy shiit, it's huge and awesome.
Lots of guns, no ammo other than 25-06 and 300WSM.
Should be nice if they have good sales/coupons, especially if stuff starts being stocked again.

That’s now my “go to” place for lots of stuff. It’s kinda like Cabelas pre 1990.

Goalie they get trucks all week long, they limit quantities so some scalper fug doesn't fill the cart atleast on pistol ammo and bullets but you gotta be there when they bring it out. Cause it don t last long Mb

Cause it don t last long Mb I'll let those in need buy ammo for now. I just loved seeing an actual selection of Christiensen and Bergara rifles in stock.

They usually have a good sale on cranks and plugs in the early spring. We don’t have one nearby but me and some other guys who are hardcore fishermen always mail order a bunch to serve our needs during the spring Walleye/Saugeye bite.

One of my favorite places. So far no political correctness from management.

Tell you what, I went in and went directly to the used bows section...which was excellent btw.
Anyhow, a chick in her early 20s came and assisted me. I swear to god she knew every detail about every bow on the rack...dozens. She was just excellent, looked good too. Compare that to the absolute retards you get at cabelas and it's a 'no contest baby'.

One of my favorite places. So far no political correctness from management. That's unlikely to change anytime soon. I worked in one of the Scheels stores for the 2nd half of the '90's. At that time, they didn't/wouldn't stock AR's. In the 20yrs since I left they dove headlong into that pool, occasionally stock some Barrett rifles including 50BMG semi-autos, and within the last 18Mo or so have started stocking suppressors. Additionally, every store has a few gun-shop folks who are pretty sharp regarding their local market's used gun and collectable gun values and needs. Goalie, regarding end-of season clearance, you'll see more along the lines of "progressive markdowns" rather than "fire-sales". They can be pretty aggressive purchasing closeout merchandise from their suppliers and passing on those savings though. I know this fall they had closeout merch. from Simms and Sitka. Either my 1st or 2nd fall with them we got a GIANT closeout of Browning Hydrofleece and I still see people wearing that stuff as it's easily identifiable by the camo patterns we bought.
