I am so sick of these cell phones. I had an Iphone 7. I bought it refurbished for $250 2 or 3 yrs ago. It will not upgrade and needs to go to the Apple Store for a 7 day repair. I hardly get a call from someone anyomre, I get mostly stupid robo calls that wont stop calling me. If yo have a land line, how much is it a month? I hate my cell phone!!

We get so many scam calls, we hardly even answer ours anymore. Robo scammers have made land lines nearly useless. The phone companies must know they are on the way out because they do nothing to stop it.

You will get way more robo calls on a land line these days. At least on a cell phone I can block the numbers.

We converted our land line to Ooma years ago. It connects to our router, and after disconnecting the land line coming into the house and connecting the ooma to one of the phone jacks near the router, ihe other phones work just like the original land line did. Transfered our old number, and less than 7 bucks a month.

Still don't use it too much.

I got tired of paying more in taxes and other fees on the wall phone.

Got it turned off 8 years ago and have not missed it.

As for the cell phone if the number is not from someone you know just don't answer it.

And if you do answer it quit being polite, you don't have to be.

I pay 55 bucks a month for my landline, and roughly 25 in long distance fees. How old school is that? haha

Tried to get one at this place when we moved in 4 years or so ago.

Was told they don't provide the service out here anymore.

Our cell service sucks, so I'd prefer to have the backup of a land line.

Fuggin cell companies get tax breaks or money to provide service to rural areas according to our local paper a few years back. "Under-served community" type stuff. So they put in more towers over the hill where the "rural" town has close to 100K population, or down a bit where the rural college town has 75K. I mean, our county's total population is around 9K, not enough possible customers I guess.

Many times friends in town call me and my phone never rings, just goes straight to voicemail and when service comes back I get a notification of a missed call.

Still running a hard-line phone here. It's usually around $65/month. We don't make too many long distance calls.

Have a TracFone, but haven't had it live in a couple years. Usually only activated it if we were traveling or something

Still have landlines for 911 locates and public emergency calls that go out via landlines.

With that said...We never use or take calls on our home phones,,,,only cell.

Yup. Just a land line here. Unlisted # so robocalls have been a total of about 3 in the last 3 years. With (not really hi-speed) internet it's $85/mo. w/ 120 minutes of long distance included. Robbery, but it's the only option other than satellite here. Funny thing is it doesn't work when the power goes out. First place this has ever happened.

Thinking about a burner flip phone just in case, but no real hurry.

We still have a landline. Our cell service stinks around here, so we can't rely on cell. We also get our internet from the phone company.

Call Block is available on both IOS and Android. If you keep at it they will start to go away.

Land lines are rip off compared to cellular.
