That is the deal of the day. That is well below what should be asked for it.

Pretty gun, but it has no magazine. The M22 is a single shot.

Everyone needs a 308 Win. or six of them.
They just seem to follow me home or that Gunsmith will make them for me.

I've yet to know a person who has a .308 and they dislike them.

Take care

If you were wanting a .308 for still hunting whitetail, box blind pigs and banging steel at the range and not being limited to CRF; what would you choose? How would you scope it, and what bullet would you choose for the 3 tasks? I’m leaning towards a Tikka and 165NBTS

Tikka T3x in a Superlight configuration would be my starting spot.

CRF 308 thread gave you your perfect answer. The new Winchester model 70 featherweight is the answer. Best of both worlds.

Maybe if I were looking for CRF only suggestions.

Thanks I guess?

Yes sir!

How does it shoot? Never heard much except praise for the lvsf.

Very well. My son's 7mm-08 shoots great, too.

I cannot believe anyone would want a 308. They're like an all terrain tire, not really good at anything.

Here's another vote for the underappreciated Browning X-bolt. Mine is the CF version with a fluted stainless barrel and an easy to grip stock. It's topped with a Leupold VX5 2-10 that has a fantastic field of view at 2x. The rifle is light, weather resistant, easy to carry and very accurate. The stock appearance is a little weird but it didn't take me long to get over that.

Yeah, they suck. Values are in the toilet 'cause no one wants them.

Please PM me any .308 you wish to sell and I'll help you unload the danged thing.

To try something different, I recently bought a Bergara Wilderness Ridge with plan to further cut it to 16” to run a Nomad Ti in the shortest Combo possible before having to pay the NFA tax.
It will hold .75 with FGM168 for 5 shots in its factory configuration.

If I go looking for a 308, I'll end up coming home with a 300 Savage. I can't help myself.

Bergara ridge with a leupold 4-12. It’ll do everything I’d need it to do.

Tikka T3x Superlite: picked one up on a whim last year and it’s quickly become a favorite to shoot. Replacing my long loved 77 RL tanger in 308 as well.
