That was military issue. We had about 2-1/2 days of driving rain and wind gusts up to insane levels. I was covered in Gore-Tex underneath that poncho as well. we were about 80 miles from the nearest building or road.


Reminds me of the folks that like that lightweight rain gear.

When it really get to blowin' and is cold enough I don't sweat much, my rubberized canvas Helly Hanson stuff is the best thing going.

And that poncho of mine is in the hunting gear for a reason. It can come out when it's raining too hard for the goretex stuff.

Yeah, when it rains long enough, you're eventually going to get wet unless you are not physically working. Eventually, you'll sweat enough that you have to just have enough layers that it hopefully doesn't matter. The old-school military Micky Mouse boots work that way. It's like wearing a tire around your feet. Feet get soaked but stay warm.

Looks like they forgot the 280 Remington. My mountain rifle loves the 140 TTSX but they are not on the website!
