Just wondering about some of the manners patterns. To just get right to it for a rifle with a sporter weight barrel up to magnum contour I really like the McMillan Hunter/Sako Hunter pattern. I like the cheek piece higher comb and slight palm swell. With that said I’m wanting to know which one of Manners stocks is the closest to this? Or maybe another way of asking the question would be for those who like the McMillan Hunter which Manners do you prefer? By reading descriptions and looking at pictures I’m thinking the EH 6 and 8. The UC seems to favor the mountain rifle pattern which I also like depending on barrel contour. Thanks for any information.

The EH6 is a good one and somewhat like the McMillan Hunter, it has a high comb, palm swell, and mid-sized forend. I've not handled an EH8. If you want to take a road trip down you're welcome to come shoulder an EH6.

Thank you. I told you I’d come down to ride horses and lied about that. You’d never believe me if I said I was heading that way....haha. Where did you tell me you were close to?

I've got an EH3 you could handle as well. It's a little thicker in the forend than the EH8, has a palm swell and high comb.

The eh8+ and the UC are both nice. All mine have come in around 22oz. Have an nx8 on one of the eh8+ and it works well.

Great pictures. Thank you Huntsman. What’s the weight on them?

Hey thanks for that wrangler13....neat looking rig.. Bet it shoots well. Have a eh8 myself, plus defiance action and stainless barrel. Unscoped at present, so rather keen to see how the nx8 looked on it.

The 6's and 8's have a more open grip than either of the McM's, if that's a consideration. I personally don't care for them.
My favorite Manners is the EH2, more closed grip, bigger palm swell, and higher cheek height, so no need for a cheek piece.
EH3's are similar, but with a thinner grip, and shorter cheek height.

Two different ones actually, same build specs, same stock. One is a 6 PRC, the other a 6x47 Lapua. 700 S/S, Bartlein spiral fluted 2b, Triggertech triggers.
