Just received a new stock, which has a metal chassis type block. It's inletted for a M5 bottom metal. Upon trying to put my bottom metal in, there is a small spot that metal hits metal and won't slip in. I have no doubt the maker would gladly take it back and fix the issue. But I feel like I can fix it myself. My question is would you shave a little off the bottom metal or on the stock? The bottom metal is cheaper, so my thoughts say try that first. Maybe I try a bottom metal of another make?
