That guy looks just like an old Battalion Chief I had years ago, great man and co-worker.
The shots came fast and it didn’t take long for him to go down. The Hollywood notion of dropping or being flung backwards is an exceedingly rare occurrence. I’ve seen more guys take multiple rounds without reaction than I’ve ever seen of one dropping, unless there’s a CNS hit.
A hopped up human can absorb a lot of lead just like a hopped up bear can.
If you’re not shooting you’re moving, if you’re moving you’re reloading. (JC?)....in this case shooting and scooting was a smart move. I and my family practice for this exact situation. Shooting on the move, reloading, clearing a jam, etc are best left to well defined muscle memory.
I’ve seen enough death to last me 100 lifetimes but watching someone struggle in their final seconds as the hemo-pneumo chokes him and his volume depletes makes me sick to my stomach. I guess all the death and dismemberment has made me softer, not harder, thank God!
