hello to all.... I picked this up recently and would like to know what it is....I've done some forum research and GB, etc thats answered some questions. I think its been refinished, so specifically what is a good number for a sale price? I've got enough .22s and from what I read one doesn't get much better than this. I'l be happy to privide more info/photos as needed. Hope these are accessable. Thanks in advance!... John https://postimg.cc/gallery/KLF1YNb/1e5862b1

That's a nice 23A. I would expect the 23A to be on par with something like a Winchester 69. They were made in the 1920s and replaced by the 23AA in the early 30s - a more robust design. Be careful with that peep sight, its a delicate thing and the spring that rides against the windage knob can easily break. Don't fiidle too much with it. And don't loose that mag. You can find mags on eBay but they might cost you upwards of what you have in the rifle. There are a couple guys here who know tons more on these little guns than I. Hopefully they will be along soon to fill you in.

I have a 1919 NRA and love it. For what it's worth, I paid $167 for it at an estate auction. It came with a period Kerr No-Buckle sling.
I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.
