I sold the 30-06 so this one may as well find a new home too. I have a 725 Remington 280 for sale, just the bare rifle, not as pictured. I am keeping the scope, rings and sling. The LOP is just over 13 1/2 over a 1 inch pad, great floor plate and there are some scratches on the left side likely from a knife handle. The bluing is very good with very little wear at the muzzle and the rifle retains the original sight and hood. I want $850 plus shipping for it. If you want it post on here, follow up with a PM and the first public "I will take this" will be the new owner. Payment can be made by check, MO or cashiers check.

I had one just like that but sold it a few years back. One of my major selling regrets next to my SKB 100 20 gauge and my Norinco M-14.

The 725 was a 1/2" shooter with ballistic tips, but when I tried Barnes blue-coated bullets I shot my first ever 7" group at 100 yards. Probably a seating depth issue but I quit experimenting with blue-coats after that.

In my 280's I shoot Federal Premium 150 grain Nosler partitions. I remember this one shot well but I haven't squeezed the trigger on it in quite a few years.

Sweet rifle! I have one in 30-06. High quality here.

I have the exact rifle/caliber. These are an amazing rifle, wish I could get the 6mm rem as it was the rarest of them all.

My dad has one in 6mm or 244. Can’t remember how it’s marked.

I have a 725 in 244 REM and a couple of 725 take-off barrels in 244 REM.

I didn't think that the 6MM REM was introduced until the 721/722/725 were discontinued in favor of the redesigned 700 series.

Looks sort of like a pre-64 70. I'm not familiar with them at all. Is it a fancy 721 with a 1917 looking safety?

Sort of. They were made 3 years, after the 721 and before the 700 I believe.

Someone asked about trades. I am not really looking for anything but would consider a 7mm-08 youth of some sort. Maybe something else if it tickles my fancy.
