1.5-5 Leupold, 2.5 Leupold, 1-4 Leupold. Whichever I had an extra of or found a deal on.

How much $ do you want to spend?

Anything from a $29 3-9 tasco to a $2900 2-10 S&B Polar would work.

OP is leaving a lot on the table for sure. I believe I ran a gloss Burris 3-9x40 with ballistic plex on mine. Worked very well...

I put a leupold 3-9 on mine but I also had a 1.75-6 on it and it worked great too.

Enough already, just shoot it!

2-7X33 Leupold VX-II works well for me . Lots of eye relief and good and clear.

I've owed a couple of those 7600s in 35Whelen and a few others in other chamberings. The 1.5-5 in low mounts is never a bad choice or any of those rifles.

I could see a decent 2-7 being a good choice as well.

I have a fixed 4x on my 7600 7mm-08 and a Vari-X III 2.5x8 on my 760 30-06. I set the 2.5x8 on 4x or 5x when hunting. I had a VX-II 1x4 on the 7mm-08 and I like the 4x more.

A boring fixed 4x scope.
