This is a one owner gun that has had less than 100 rounds through it. It has one rub spot on the left side of the stock as seen in photos. Model 336W (Checkered walnut) Micro Groove 30-30. This should be one of the last GOOD Marlin's made. $700 plus shipping and payment by check of any type. First posted "I will take this" will own it.

This is hardwood. The easy way to tell is real walnut will have a bullseye.

Thanks. I compared it to another that I have and the stud appears to be top dead center on the bullseye.

Brand loyalty.

So customers could spot a Marlin on a wall rack full of rifles.

It is my opinion the bullseye was made to let the purchaser have a good spot to put the sling stud in.

The white dot .........with out a stud....might spook the thurty point buck!

The bulleseye was put on walnut stocked Marlins to signify such. A quick check of 336 w features include hardwood stock...plus it doesn't look anything like walnut. Not taking away from the rifle, pretty much all I deer hunt with in spite of having a dozen "better" deer guns.
