Prayers indeed. I have had melanoma as well. It is either one of the easiest to get in remission, or the worst forms of cancer. It all depends on how deep it has gone. I was lucky that it was caught early.

I have had both of the Noma brothers, Mel and Carsin. Mel is the worse of the two. You get Mel and ignore him and in six months, your new name is RIP.
Mine was I where I can't see it, but I felt a weird bump on the back of my neck. Wife said, "That's not right." Doc said, "Let's cut that out and take a sample." Specialist said, "You are one lucky sumbeach."
If you are a youngster under age 30, take heed and slather yourself with sunscreen. If you are older, take heed and if you see ANYthing new on your skin, get to a doctor right damn now.

I dealt with that in 2013. Cut it out and have been fine since. Just had another one of my 6 month check ups yesterday.

One of the only side benefits of my melanoma is that I get to do the "Full Monty" for a lovely young woman dermatologist every six months. She's entirely professional, and so am I, but as I told her recently, she's the only woman I know who has never seen me with my clothes on!

Started seeing a skin Doc before the plague.
Had one spot froze and just 2 weeks ago had some more done.
None were bad just a pain in the ass.
My wife had one cut out several years ago and so far has gotten a clean bill.
Hope they get it all and she has no more problems.
