John Ive had the occasional TNT 'poof' 50-60- yards from the barrel during a hot PD shoot in summer. It happens so infrequently I am inclined to blame it on hitting a bug ( literally) on its way to the PD...
Ive had it happen with other bullets as well, soooo...

Only 1 out of 5 hit the target at 100 yards from my 1:7 twist 223. Others came apart. Switched to 50gr Hornady V-MAX and all was well. blame the 7 twist

Wonder how these TNT bullets would hold up in a 9 twist 223?
The 55s were okay but these would be scooting a goodly bit faster.
The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!

I used to shoot a lot of 50 TNT’s out of a short barrelled slow twist AR built by Bill Wylde and it shot them into tiny groups. It was quite impressive on pdogs. A few years ago I bought a few thousand more and have tried them in a pair of older varmint specials in 223 and 22-250. Both rifles shoot them sub .5”. I wish I’d have bought 10k of them now. The 22-250 load should be about 3600fps but I haven’t shot them over a chrony. Looking foreword to this years pdog shoot. I’m sure they will explode them quite spectacularly!
